Illuminate astronomy with a cool tech twist! Throughout the ages, the night sky has mystified and delighted us. The ancients saw patterns in the stars and celebrated them through sky stories and star myths. Fusing space science with electronics and mythology, our LED Constellation Cubes spark fun learning across topic areas. This is a great project for in-class investigation, enrichment time, DIY and adult Maker events.
This guide includes 13 zodiac constellation templates featuring star patterns, astronomy fun facts and ancient sky stories. Learners create a tape circuit, battery base and switch to transform into adorable LED lanterns. We've also included great resources for introducing soldering and electronics into the classroom. And, there's instructions for implementing the lesson without soldering.
