K-2 Core Curriculum – Geography: Maps In this fun and interactive unit study, your children will explore the globe and learn solid map skills! With over 42 activities and 20 hands-on exercises, your children will be fascinated from beginning to end. Each chapter includes multiple videos, hands-on activities, maps, readings, worksheets, charts, interactive websites, games, and much more to provide a multisensory approach to learning about globes and maps.
This unit study is the first release in our social studies core curriculum series for grades K-2. This is perfect for a month long exploration of maps and globes for early elementary! The time needed to complete this unit study will vary for each child, but you should expect to spend approximately 20 hours, not including optional outdoor extension activities such as geocaching and letterboxing.
