This multi-media online Economics course focuses on the decision making of individuals, organizations, and governments in a market setting. It covers topics such as scarcity, opportunity cost, demand, supply, price, and the four types of market structures.
Economics contains 61 lessons and begins with an introduction of economics, including a review of the American free enterprise system. Students will then learn about markets, business and labor, and banking and finance in the microeconomics section. Next, they will learn about measuring economic performance, the government’s role in the economy, and international trade and development in the macroeconomics section.
