Next Gen Personal Finance (NGPF)

Next Gen Personal Finance (NGPF) is a nonprofit on a mission to ensure that every student graduates with a foundation in personal finance, and for homeschoolers it is one of the richest free resources available anywhere. Every course, lesson, activity, and assessment is offered at no cost — there is no premium tier and nothing to buy.

The flagship is a full-year Personal Finance course built for high schoolers, organized into units on banking, budgeting, credit, paying for college, investing, taxes, insurance, and consumer skills. Each unit comes with student-facing activities, teacher guides, answer keys, and project-based assessments, so a homeschool parent can run it with almost no prep. Shorter Middle School modules introduce younger students to earning, saving, and spending in age-appropriate ways.

What sets NGPF apart is how engaging the materials are. Instead of dry worksheets, students work through interactive tools like Calculate (real-world math problems), Analyze (reading charts and data), MOVE (kinesthetic activities), and a large library of Arcade games that turn concepts like compound interest, budgeting, and investing into playable challenges.
