Logic Grid Puzzles posts six new deduction puzzles every day, free to play in the browser with no account and nothing to install. These are the classic grid puzzles sometimes called zebra or Einstein puzzles: a short story, a few categories such as names, ages and objects, and a list of clues. The solver works out which item belongs with which by marking the grid until only one answer is left.

The daily set runs across six difficulty levels, from very easy to ultra hard. The easiest puzzle is small. On the day we checked, it asked solvers to match three paleontologists with their ages and the fossils they found, using four clues. The harder levels add categories and rely on indirect and negative clues that take several steps to resolve. The on-screen grid does some of the bookkeeping: click a cell to mark a match or a no, and the rest of that row and column is ruled out automatically. There are undo, redo and reset buttons, an Answer tab, and a Past Puzzles button for earlier days.

Logic puzzles like these build careful reading and step-by-step reasoning, since every clue matters and guessing does not help. The site itself is written with adult solvers in mind, but the very easy and easy levels make a good daily warm-up for upper elementary and middle school students, and the harder levels will stretch teens and parents. In a homeschool or classroom, try one puzzle a day and ask the student to explain aloud which clue led to each step.

Everything on the site is free. The page does carry advertising, and it promotes a paid Premium Puzzleship subscription, with a 7-day free trial, for anyone who wants to remove ads. It also links to paid print-at-home puzzle packs from Aha! Printables, including a kids' set for ages 7 to 11. None of these are needed to play the daily puzzles.
