What is Quadratic Equations?
A quadratic equation is an equation of the form ax^2 + bx + c = 0, where a, b, and c are real numbers and x is an unknown. The solutions to a quadratic equation are the values of x that make the equation true. To solve a quadratic equation, one must first determine the values of a, b, and c. Then, one can use one of many methods to find the solutions. These methods include factoring, using the quadratic formula, and completing the square.
The standard form of a quadratic equation can be used to solve for the unknown variable x. To solve for x, one must first determine the value of a, b, and c. Once the values for a, b, and c are known, one can use the Quadratic Formula to solve for x. The Quadratic Formula is: x = (-b +/- sqrt(b^2-4ac))/2a.
