What is Derivatives & Differential Calculus?
Differential calculus is the study of how quantities change. It is one of the two main branches of calculus, along with integral calculus. Differential calculus is concerned with the rates at which quantities change, and with finding the slopes of lines and the curves. It is used in physics and engineering to find the trajectories of objects, to determine the efficiency of machines, and to predict the behavior of systems. It is also used in economics to find the marginal product of a commodity, and in medicine to find the optimal dosage of a drug. differential calculus has a number of subfields, including vector calculus and tensor calculus.
