myWorld Interactive Social Studies (K-5)

myWorld Interactive is an elementary social studies curriculum for grades K-5 from Savvas Learning Company. It is the current edition of the myWorld Social Studies program that Pearson used to sell.

The program balances direct instruction with small-group work, hands-on practice and scaffolded reading support. Students use an Active Journal with writing, drawing and highlighting tasks, and longer, project-based Quests at the end of chapters give them inquiry-based experiences tied to real-world civics. Savvas stresses that every lesson is also a literacy lesson: students read closely, build vocabulary and use evidence in their writing.

Teachers can assign content to an individual student, a small group or the whole class, and the program includes differentiated and language-support resources. Several curriculum options and pathways are offered to fit different classroom types and schedules.

It is sold to schools and districts through Savvas Learning Company, which took over Pearson's K-12 programs. There is no consumer homeschool bundle on the Savvas site, so families buying for home use should contact Savvas or look for the student and teacher editions through used-curriculum sellers.
