Environmental Science
Environmental Science is the study of the interaction of people with their environment. This course covers a broad range of environmental topics and issues while at the same time giving students the background necessary to understand the basic science behind the issues. Students then apply what they have learned to new situations, which may involve researching on the Internet. Throughout the course, students collect information and data about two very different places as well as their own location as a basis for comparison of different biomes and to get a real-life understanding of the relationships between physical and ecological features. By the end of the course, students are reading and analyzing scientific texts and writing logical arguments on environmental topics.
