Library Skills

This one to two week unit teaches children to understand the difference between fiction and nonfiction, as well as locate fiction and nonfiction books on the library shelf.

This unit includes:

• 3 fiction and nonfiction posters with 3 corresponding worksheets (with answer keys when applicable)
• Poster for instruction of finding fiction books on a shelf with 2 corresponding worksheets (both with answer keys) and a class activity.
• Poster for instruction of finding nonfiction books on a shelf with 2 corresponding worksheets (both with answer keys) and a class activity. For differentiation purposes, I have provided two versions of one worksheet and 3 versions of the class activity.
