FreeTestPrep.com is a free practice site for the SAT, ACT, AP exams and the Classic Learning Test (CLT). Instead of full-length practice tests, it is built around short drills: each one has five multiple-choice questions on a single topic, and the site says most students finish one in under ten minutes. When we checked, the homepage counted 646 drills and 3,230 original questions across 13 exams.

The SAT section covers Math and Reading and Writing, with extra sets of harder Reading and Writing drills on words in context, command of evidence, inferences, transitions, rhetorical synthesis and standard English conventions. The ACT section has drills for English, Math, Reading and Science. The AP section covers ten subjects: U.S. History, World History: Modern, English Language, African American Studies, Biology, Psychology, Precalculus, Calculus AB, Business with Personal Finance and Cybersecurity. For the CLT there is an exam guide and one full-length, 120-question practice test. Each drill scores the answers and gives a written explanation for every question, covering why the right answer works and why each wrong choice does not. Some section pages, such as SAT Math, open with a strategy guide before the drills.

It suits high school students preparing for a college entrance exam or an AP test, and homeschool families who want test practice that fits around their regular schedule. A parent can assign a single topic, such as SAT linear equations or ACT Science conflicting viewpoints, instead of a whole test, and a student can do one drill in a spare ten minutes. Everything is free, with no account, login or paid tier. The site is supported by Google ads and links to the author's Barron's books and to his paid tutoring company, BWS Education Consulting. The questions are written by Brian Stewart, a Barron's SAT and ACT author; his about page says he uses AI tools to help with drafting and checks every question himself before it goes on the site.
