What is Videography?
Videography is the process of capturing moving images on videotape, disc, or another medium. It involves setting up cameras and other equipment, framing shots, and lighting scenes. Videographers also select and assemble footage in post-production.
Videography is used for a variety of purposes, including documentary filmmaking, event videography, and commercial videography. Event videography includes wedding videography, corporate videography, and live event coverage. Commercial videography includes advertising, corporate video, and music videos.
There are many different techniques involved in videography, including camera work, editing, and sound design. Camera work includes lighting, composition, and movement. Editing is the process of selecting, assembling, and rearranging footage. Sound design includes music, sound effects, and dialog.
Videography requires both creative and technical skills. Creativity is needed to capture interesting footage, while technical skills are necessary to operate the cameras and other equipment.
