Pastries
What is Pastries?
Pastry making is an art and a science. There are many different types of pastries, each with its own unique ingredients, methods, and flavor. The most common types of pastries are cakes, pies, tarts, donuts, and cookies.
Cakes are made by combining flour, sugar, eggs, butter, baking powder, and milk. The batter is then baked in an oven. Pies are made by combining flour, sugar, butter, and eggs. The mixture is then placed in a pie dish and baked. Tarts are made by combining flour, sugar, butter, eggs, and cream. The mixture is then placed in a tart pan and baked.
Donuts are made by deep frying a dough made from flour, sugar, eggs, butter, and milk. Cookies are made by combining flour, sugar, butter, eggs, and baking powder. The dough is then rolled into balls and baked.
Pastry chefs learn how to make a variety of different pastries, including pies, tarts, cakes, cookies, and breads. They must be able to follow recipes and master the techniques necessary to create beautiful and delicious pastries. In addition to being able to make traditional pastries, pastry chefs must also be creative and come up with new and exciting flavor combinations and designs.
