Chemical Reactions
What is Chemical Reactions?
Chemical reactions occur when two or more substances interact and change into something new. The substances that start the reaction are called reactants, and the new substances that are created are called products.
In order to learn about chemical reactions, it is important to understand the properties of reactants and products, and how they are different from each other. Reactants are typically atoms or molecules that are capable of reacting with other substances. Products, on the other hand, are typically atoms or molecules that are created as a result of the reaction.
It is also important to understand the different types of chemical reactions. Some common types of reactions include synthesis reactions, decomposition reactions, and combustion reactions. Synthesis reactions occur when two or more reactants combine to form a new product. Decomposition reactions occur when a single reactant breaks down into two or more products. Combustion reactions occur when a reactant reacts with oxygen to produce heat and light.
In order to learn about chemical reactions, it is also important to understand the concept of chemical equations. A chemical equation is a way of representing a chemical reaction using symbols. The left side of the equation represents the reactants, and the right side of the equation represents the products. The arrow in the equation indicates the direction of the reaction.
Overall, learning about chemical reactions is important for understanding the world around us. By understanding the properties of reactants and products, and the different types of reactions, we can better understand the processes that occur in nature.

We are now going to look at chemical reactions. But as we do, we need to make sure that atoms aren't magically appearing or disappearing. Put another way, we need to sure that we have the same number of each constituent atom in the product of t...
