Anki

Anki is free and open-source flashcard software built around spaced repetition: cards you find hard come back sooner, cards you know well come back later. It runs on Windows, macOS, Linux, the web and Android at no cost (the iPhone app is paid and funds development), and it syncs across all of them. Users can build their own decks or download shared decks contributed by other learners.
