About Arctic

The Arctic is one of the most unique and fragile ecosystems on Earth. The Arctic environment is characterized by extreme conditions, including cold temperatures, a short growing season, and limited sunlight. These conditions make the Arctic region vulnerable to the effects of climate change.

The effects of climate change are already being felt in the Arctic. Warmer temperatures are melting the sea ice, which is disrupting the habitat of polar bears, walruses, and seals. These animals rely on the sea ice for hunting and breeding. The loss of sea ice is also having an impact on the native peoples of the Arctic, who rely on the ice for transportation, hunting, and gathering.

There is a pressing need to increase our understanding of the Arctic environment and the impacts of climate change. Through education and outreach, we can raise awareness of the issues and build support for solutions.
