About School Readiness

School readiness is the ability of a child to succeed in school. readiness is a combination of the child’s physical, social, emotional, and cognitive readiness to enter school.

Physical readiness refers to the child’s physical health and well-being. It includes factors such as the child’s physical development, health, and nutrition.

Social readiness refers to the child’s ability to interact with others and to participate in group activities. It includes factors such as the child’s social and emotional development, communication skills, and ability to follow rules and routines.

Emotional readiness refers to the child’s ability to cope with emotions and to manage stress. It includes factors such as the child’s self-regulation, resiliency, and ability to cope with anxiety and frustration.

Cognitive readiness refers to the child’s ability to think, remember, and solve problems. It includes factors such as the child’s attention, memory, and executive function skills.
