About Power Electronics

Power electronics is the application of solid-state electronics to the control and conversion of electric power. It is a rapidly growing field with applications in a wide variety of industries, including automotive, aerospace, computer, consumer, industrial, medical, and military.

Power electronics devices are used to convert electrical energy from one form to another, such as DC to AC, AC to DC, or AC to AC of different frequencies. These devices can be used to control the flow of electrical energy, or to change the voltage or current level of the energy.

Power electronics devices are typically made from semiconductor materials, such as diodes, transistors, and MOSFETs. These materials can be used to create a wide variety of circuit topologies, such as boost converters, buck converters, and H-bridge circuits.

Power electronics circuits are used in a wide variety of applications, including switch-mode power supplies, motor controllers, and solar inverters.
