About Mexican Geography

Mexico is a country located in North America. It is bordered by the United States to the north, the Gulf of Mexico to the east, Belize and Guatemala to the south, and the Pacific Ocean to the west. Mexico is a federal republic with 31 states and a federal district. The capital of Mexico is Mexico City. The population of Mexico is over 129 million people. The official language of Mexico is Spanish.

The physical geography of Mexico varies widely. The north of the country is desert, while the south is tropical rainforest. The east is home to the Gulf of Mexico, and the west has a long coastline along the Pacific Ocean. There are also many mountains in Mexico, including the Sierra Madre and the volcanoes of the Trans-Mexican Volcanic Belt.

The climate of Mexico also varies depending on location. The north of the country is generally hot and dry, while the south is tropical and humid. The east coast is humid and rainy, and the west coast is temperate.

Mexico is a culturally rich country with a long history. The first people to inhabit Mexico were the Olmecs, who lived in the south of the country. The Olmecs were followed by the Maya, who developed a complex civilization in the south and east of Mexico. The Aztecs were the last major civilization in Mexico before the arrival of the Spanish in the 16th century. Mexico is now a multicultural country with a diverse population.
